Copyright Notice

This page explains who owns what on MAC Academy, what you may and may not do with course material, and how to report content that infringes your copyright.

MAC Academy is an online learning platform run as a sole proprietorship registered in India as a small business (Udyam). Throughout these documents, "MAC Academy", "we", "us" and "our" mean that business, and "you" means the person using the platform.

The platform's software, design, layout, text, graphics and original course content are © 2026 MAC Academy. All rights reserved.

Instructors keep the copyright in the courses they create. They licence it to us, non-exclusively, so that we can host it, stream it, market it and deliver it to enrolled learners. When you buy a course you get a personal licence to study it — see section 3 of our Terms of Service — and nothing more.

What you write and upload stays yours: assignments, project files, doubts, reviews and comments. You give us permission to store and display it where it belongs on the platform, for example showing your submission to the instructor marking it. We do not resell your work, publish it outside the platform, or use it to train AI models.

Some course material is created by or licensed from third parties who keep their own copyright, and some is used under an open licence that requires attribution. Those notices must be respected. If you want to use third-party material you found in a course for your own purposes, ask the rights holder, not us.

• copy, download for redistribution, or share course content;
• use course material in any commercial context;
• screen-record, re-record, transcribe or extract text, audio or video from course material;
• republish, upload or repost course material on other websites, social media or file-sharing services;
• sell, rent, lease or otherwise commercialise course access or material;
• use course content to train artificial intelligence, large language models or other machine-learning systems;
• modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works from course material;
• remove, alter or obscure copyright notices, watermarks or attributions;
• use MAC Academy's name, logo or branding in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation we have not given.

• We are not trying to stop you learning. You may:
• make personal notes, including written notes from a video;
• quote a short passage with attribution for genuine study, review, teaching or news reporting, as fair dealing permits;
• use what you learned in your own work, job, projects and teaching. Knowledge is yours once you have it — it is the recordings and materials that are not.

If you believe something on the platform infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act.

• Email macacademy.admin@gmail.com with the subject line "Copyright Infringement Notice", and include:
• your full name and contact email;
• a description of the work you say has been infringed, and proof you own it or represent the owner;
• the exact URL or location of the material on our platform;
• why you believe the use is not authorised and does not fall within fair dealing;
• a statement that the information you have given is accurate.

• What happens next:
• we acknowledge your notice within 2 working days;
• we investigate and respond within 14 working days;
• where the claim is clear we remove or restrict the material while we look into it;
• we tell the person who uploaded it what was removed and why, so they can reply.

If you are the instructor whose material was removed and you believe the claim is wrong, write to us with your side of it and we will reconsider. We will not leave a course taken down indefinitely without explaining why.

Repeated infringement costs an instructor their publishing rights on the platform.

Please talk to us first. Almost everything — a payment that did not go through, a course you cannot open, a refund, a certificate, a correction to your data — is sorted out fastest by simply telling us. Write to us through the Contact Us page or at macacademy.admin@gmail.com and a real person will read it. We aim to reply within 2 working days, and we will tell you honestly if something will take longer or if we cannot do what you have asked.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can escalate it to our Grievance Officer using the same contact details, and after that to the consumer forum or court nearest to you. Indian law applies to these documents and to your use of the platform. We would much rather fix the problem than argue about it.
